A students’ guidance counselor heads this unit and is ordinarily responsible to the Dean through the SAO. The unit provides advice and services to students on employment matters, organizes lectures, excursion and provides information on career prospect to students in securing vacation jobs where available, and arranges interviews with outside agencies for scholarships, job placement and so on. The career guidance counselor identifies students for the purpose of scholarships and bursaries and collects and distributes from for such and other matters from public and private sectors. He prepares and forwards confidential reports on student and graduates of the college on behalf of the Dean and compiles monthly reports.
